Some of the events the Pirates will be hosting

Team AGM

The Pirates Annual General Meeting takes place 2 or 3 weeks before the start of each dragon boat season. The meeting allows the team to come together and map out the course for the coming season. Financials are discussed, coaching strategies are talked about and regattas are chosen.

Team BBQ

The team BBQ is a great way for the paddlers to get together in a relaxing, non dragon boat environment. Food, drinks and entertainment are all provided. Paddlers are encouraged to bring family members and friends to the event. Date and time for this event are to be determined. Check back soon.

Hummingbird Feeder

The Pirates are looking at putting down their paddlers and tapping into their creative sides. The Pirates will be looking to build hummingbird feeds as a non traditional fundraiser. Each team member will build a hummingbird feeder and then sell or raffle them off. It is cool? Maybe. It is different? You bet.

Fundraising

Participating in amateur sport can be a costly endeavor. Club fees, team fees, equipment fees, regattas fees. They all add up. The Pirates will be hosting numerous fundraisers throughout the paddling season to help offset these costs.

The fundraisers will consist of pub nights, 50/50 draws, booze basket draws, silent auctions, etc. Dates and times for these events will be posted once confirmed
